This decadent appetizer is perfect for a romantic dinner or a special occasion. The figs are wrapped in bacon and baked until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted and gooey. Ingredients:
- 4 fresh figs
- 2 strips streaky bacon
- ½ MouCo Camembert (Left Half)
- Handful fresh basil leaves
- Balsamic vinegar
- Olive oil
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Lightly coat a baking dish with olive oil.
- Remove the stems from the figs and cut a cross in the top.
- Place a piece of Camembert and a basil leaf in the center of each fig.
- Wrap each fig with a piece of bacon.
- Drizzle the figs with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven and drizzle with balsamic vinegar.
