Shipping Policy
At MouCo Cheese Company, we ship every order with the same care we put into making our cheese. Each package is packed by hand using insulated liners and gel packs to help ensure your cheese arrives cool, fresh, and ready to enjoy. Because our products are perishable, our shipping schedule and methods are designed to minimize transit time and protect your cheese from unnecessary delays.
Shipping Schedule
We typically ship Monday through Wednesday to help ensure that packages do not sit in a carrier’s warehouse over a weekend. Orders placed before noon (Mountain Time) on a shipping day often go out the same day. Orders placed after that may ship the next available shipping day.
In some cases, we may ship on Thursday for overnight deliveries, but this is evaluated carefully to avoid weekend holds. Orders placed Thursday through Sunday generally ship the following Monday.
Warm Weather & Seasonal Holds
During periods of extreme heat, we may temporarily pause shipments or upgrade shipping speed to help protect your cheese. These decisions are made case by case to ensure product quality and food safety.
Shipping Methods & Carriers
We currently ship primarily with UPS. Additional carrier options such as FedEx may become available in the future and will appear in your checkout list when active. Delivery speed options depend on destination:
- Colorado: Ground shipping (1–2 days)
- All other U.S. destinations: 2-Day or Overnight shipping methods
We ship only within the United States. Orders to Alaska or Hawaii must use Overnight or 2-Day service.
Pickup Options
We’re working on adding local pickup scheduling at our cheesery in Fort Collins. If that option appears at checkout, it means pickup is currently available.
Tracking & Delivery
Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Please plan to refrigerate your cheese as soon as it arrives to maintain best quality. If your order arrives while you’re away, make sure someone can receive and refrigerate it promptly.
Shipping Issues or Damaged Packages
If your order arrives damaged, delayed, or spoiled, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at orders@mouco.com with photos showing the product, packaging, and label or sticker. We’ll review your report and, if necessary, work directly with the carrier on any claim. Depending on the situation, we may replace or refund affected items.
While we cannot guarantee against carrier delays or weather-related issues once a package leaves our cheesery, we always evaluate each case carefully and handle legitimate concerns as fairly as possible.
