These are amazing! I hate missing a fresh curd day, and my kiddos do too! They are still amazing even when they have lost their squeakiness, and just a delicious cheese over all. I love seasoning on the curds once they’ve started aging. MouCo makes such tasty cheese!

I'm from Wisconsin originally and when these are fresh FRESH they are better than the ones at the local cheese factories I grew up with 😆 ... once they've been refrigerated after a couple of days they are still amazing, on par with the curds back home - but no curd is ever as good as it is the day it's born and cut straight from the vat 🙃 So do yourself a favor and if you're local get on that curds text notification list so you can be there when they're FRESH 😀

My one wish is that they would offer more seasoned flavors, like dill, pizza, bloody mary, cajun, or everything bagel! But plain is amazing and you can add your own seasoning of course.

I love fresh cheese curds (I moved to Colorado from Wisconsin several years ago), and MuoCo curds do not disappoint! Fresh, squeaky, and delicious! They're always worth grabbing a few bags whenever they're available!

The Story Behind the curds...

📞 A Call From a Friend...

For years, curd lovers asked us to add cheese curds to our lineup — but the equipment needed was completely different from what we use for our soft-ripened cheeses, so the dream stayed on hold.

That changed when our friend Alise at Redhead Creamery in Minnesota decided to upgrade her vat. She knew us, knew our setup, and knew why we couldn’t make cheddar-style curds. One day, she called for a chat, let us know she was upgrading, and offered us her old one.

A member of her family horse-trailered it down to Colorado, we hooked it up, and before long we were making curds the way they’re meant to be. The very next year, both of us placed at the American Cheese Society competition — we took 2nd, she took 3rd, and with no 1st place awarded… we shared the top of the category. Funny how life goes sometimes...

Today, you can find our curds fresh at King Soopers across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
