
The Story Behind the curds...

📞 A Call From a Friend...
For years, curd lovers asked us to add cheese curds to our lineup — but the equipment needed was completely different from what we use for our soft-ripened cheeses, so the dream stayed on hold.
That changed when our friend Alise at Redhead Creamery in Minnesota decided to upgrade her vat. She knew us, knew our setup, and knew why we couldn’t make cheddar-style curds. One day, she called for a chat, let us know she was upgrading, and offered us her old one.
A member of her family horse-trailered it down to Colorado, we hooked it up, and before long we were making curds the way they’re meant to be. The very next year, both of us placed at the American Cheese Society competition — we took 2nd, she took 3rd, and with no 1st place awarded… we shared the top of the category. Funny how life goes sometimes...
Today, you can find our curds fresh at King Soopers across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain region.
