🧂 Ingredients

Serves 6–8

• • 8 cups cubed day-old bread (French loaf or brioche)
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 6 oz MouCo Ashley cheese, shredded or cubed
  • 1/2 cup fresh chives, chopped
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

👣 Instructions

1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.
   2. Scatter bread cubes evenly in the dish, then sprinkle with MouCo Ashley and chives.
   3. In a bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, salt, pepper, and Dijon until smooth.
   4. Pour custard evenly over bread, pressing down gently so it soaks in.
   5. Let rest 15–30 minutes (or refrigerate up to overnight).
   6. Bake uncovered for 45–50 minutes until puffed and golden on top.
   7. Let rest 10 minutes before slicing and serving warm.
